How’s your vision? Vision can refer to either eyesight or foresight. As followers of Jesus, our sight should be focused on Jesus. Our foresight should rest on the hope we hold of eternity in God’s perfect presence. With Heart Training, vision relates to both of those meanings, for ourselves and other believers: “Hiding God’s Word in the hearts of believers and placing God’s Word in the hands of the persecuted.” We have brothers and sisters in Christ who, even though they live in countries hostile to Christianity, crave reading the Word of God. A Bible is given to such a believer (currently in Iran) when you purchase a Heart Training Bible study workbook. As these believers hide God’s Word in their mind and heart, they cling to the hope they have in and through Christ. Through the power of the Holy Spirit they proclaim and live out God’s truths, in his strength. And our prayers for these believers encourage them as they persevere!
Let’s ask God’s blessing on his children, near and far:
We praise you, God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In your great mercy you have given your children new birth into a living hope through Jesus’ resurrection. Thank you for an inheritance that will never perish (I Peter 1:3-5). Please bless our brothers and sisters who endure great trials for the sake of Christ. Embolden them through the power of your living and active Word. Use our prayers to encourage them through the unity of the family of God.
