Tammy Puckett
Welcome to Heart Training, where my passions and skills come together as a means to glorify God and serve others.
Writing, creating lessons, and teaching to inspire are exciting endeavors for me. As a trained educator, I taught math in public schools prior to homeschooling our three children, preschool through high school. Throughout these years, I experienced the joy of teaching scripture to memorize and apply. It was wonderful to see how hiding God’s words in our hearts impacted our lives. As a family, we also saw the benefits that came through the daily discipline of exercise and athletics. This parallels training for godliness as we apply daily spiritual disciplines to grow in faith and strengthen our relationship with God through Jesus, by the work of the Holy Spirit. Through all this, God has led me to help other individuals and families grow daily in faith through reading the Bible, memorizing verses, and applying God’s truths.
It is my desire to help believers abide in Christ, grow in grace, and live in faith. We are to train for godliness – and the Heart Training resources can help!

Statements of Belief:
The Apostle's Creed
I believe in God the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried. He descended into hell; the third day he rose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father. He will come again to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of the saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.
Salvation
I believe salvation is a gift from God through Jesus’ sacrifice for our sins (Romans 6:23) and faith without works is dead (James 2:26). The Holy Spirit empowers believers to submit to God and live out his commands (Philippians 2:13). We are to glorify God and love others, pointing them to Jesus (Matthew 5:16).
Bible Translations
I believe that the Holy Bible in its original text is the inspired and authoritative Word of God. As it was originally written in Greek, Hebrew, and Aramaic, we now read from English translations. In the Heart Training resources, various Bible translations are used to accommodate the A-B-C format of the workbooks. Most verses are sourced from the NIV, but also used are ESV, NAS, NKJV, KJV, and BSB.
